I’ve been wanting to tell you about the Agent Provocateur site for sometime as a great example of online marketing.
I first came across it when I signed up for the Chinwag viral marketing list which means I get sent samples of what people want to boast about in viral marketing. Most of these are pretty dire being fairly trite games. I have however over 6 months come up with 3 things that really appealed. 1 was a christmas sprout game which I won’t bore you with. The second was a totally mental attempt to promote a voip phone. If you’re feeling strong you can see it here.
But the prize has to go to Agent Provocateur – they teased us along with 4 progressively spacy vids of Kate Moss swanning about in her (or I suppose their) undies and a tastefully raunchy newsletter with competitions and even a manifesto from Vivienne Westwood.
What can we learn – the way the newsletter is done as a set of nice looking pages on the site is something we could all emulate and the attention to detail in keeping things refreshed and interesting is definitely worth following. So if you want to check it out start with the Kate Moss Videos here.
These were released at monthly intervals to keep the interest up. Then have a look at the newsletter including the Vivienne Westbrook Manifesto.
Nice post, thx.
